Altcoins with a strong team

As most of you know, altcoins are the alternatives to Bitcoin.

And in the past two years, altcoins have been on the rise sharp. Take a look at the table below and you will understand why I say that.

Altcoins chart

In early 2017, Bitcoin’s dominance index was 85% of the cryptosphere’s total market cap, which had fallen to 31% in early 2018 before rising back to over 50%.

Do you know why?

Well, that was because many investors started to trust other currencies for better investment returns, which started a race of fundamental analysis of different altcoins in the market.

CoinSutra has covered over 30 altcoins so far and has helped its users understand their own reason for being.

I believe that Bitcoin is not everything and ends, but that altcoins also have their place in the system.

But what kind of altcoins?

Well, the most important thing I see in an altcoin is the feasibility and quality of team members supporting it.

That’s why today I’m going to share some of the altcoins that I think have a strong team backup.

1. Ethereum

Ethereum, the world’s computer, is a well-known altcoin in the market.

As of now, most developers are working on Bitcoin or Ethereum, and even more so on Ethereum given the number of possibilities with smart contracts and DApps.

That’s why Ethereum has on board most of the developers and team members like Vitalik Buterin and Vlad Zamfir who are trying to improve Ethereum every day.

Here’s a sneak peek Ethereum’s team.

2. Litecoin

Litecoin is the first known fork of Bitcoin to emerge in 2011.

At the time, not many people knew about cryptocurrencies, but this new fork of Bitcoin was built to improve certain aspects of Bitcoin such as block timing, block size, etc.

Litecoin was created on October 7, 2011 by Charlie Lee, a former Google employee. Litecoin is designed to complement Bitcoin.

From now on Litecoin serves as a test bed for Bitcoin. When Segwit was implemented, Bitcoin core developers looked to Litecoin’s successful launch of Segwit as a reference.

And like Bitcoin, it is a decentralized and open source project backed by excellent contributors. Here’s a taste of it composition of the team.

3. Monero

Monero is one of my favorite cryptocurrencies out there, and that’s because of its very personal nature. It is so private and secure that one cannot even see the amount being traded between the parties, forget the parties involved.

However, this privacy feature has its drawbacks, which I will not get into now.

The team is made up of some core developers and some volunteer developers, making it one of the most decentralized teams in the cryptosphere. Here’s the sneak peek into it core team.

4. Cardano

Cardano is a third-generation open-source blockchain platform that is expected to facilitate smart contracts and DApps.

I know some of you may be questioning the difference between Ethereum and Cardano.

Well, there is a lot.

Ethereum is blockchain 2.0, while Cardano is 3.0.

Cardano focuses on solving four critical problems facing blockchains of the world today, all in one place:

  • Scalability
  • Interoperability
  • Durability
  • Board

And it’s one of the most research-driven and peer-reviewed blockchain projects in the world, which is what makes it different from others.

5. Lisk

Lisk is a public blockchain platform that provides decentralized blockchain apps. Lisk is also one cryptocurrency and its token LSK powers Lisk’s Blockchain.

It’s another remarkable project that does things the right way and is backed by a fantastic team. I can say it because I met the founder twice, which also makes me believe in their vision.

Here is the interview with Max Kordek – co-founder, Lisk, at IBW 2017.

6. Binance Coin

Binance coin is one of my many profitable coins, but the reason I’m listing it here isn’t.

Binance coin (BNB), is the original Binance Exchange token.

It is a utility token in the Binance ecosystem that you can use to pay for all fees on the platform, including but not limited to:

  • Exchange charges
  • Withdrawal Fees
  • Listing fees
  • Any other fee

Apart from this, when you use BNB to pay a fee, you will receive a significant discount according to the schedule below. You can view their rate structure in detail here.

Also, BNB is burned quarterly to reward its HODLers in terms of price increase that follows after BNB has been burned each time.

  • AirSwap: BNB / ETH

7. QuarkChain

QuarkChain Network is a high-throughput blockchain that aims to realize more than hundreds of thousands of on-chain transactions per second (TPS). The high capacity system will solve the scalability problem facing today’s major blockchains.

Hence, it becomes the High-capacity peer-to-peer transaction system.

The team is made up of smart minds who are ex-Google and Facebook, so you don’t have to worry much about that aspect.

Here’s a sneak peek at the team:
