The top 100 richest Bitcoin addresses are becoming increasingly optimistic, accumulating 16% more Bitcoin in the past 30 days.

In total, these addresses added 334,000 additional Bitcoin to their bags, or worth about $ 11 billion.

The majority hardly responded BitcoinThe recent price drop from $ 41,000 to below $ 33,000. Only seven addresses have made a wallet transfer since the most recent record high on January 10.

Of the addresses that have transacted in the past 30 days, only eight have more than ten transactions in their name since December 12.

Perhaps surprisingly, many of the biggest addresses have not yet seen a bull run, with eight of the top ten receiving their first trade later than September 2018. The newest in the top 100 is only two months old.

However, they are not all individual whales. The addresses include at least ten that are operated by exchanges such as Huobi, Binance, Bittrex, and Kraken. The rest are believed to belong to a mix of institutional investors and high net worth hodlers, with it nearly impossible to distinguish between the two. What is clear is that the big boys are not easily influenced by price or sentiment.

To get in the top of Bitcoin addresses, you need to have more than $ 336 million worth of BTC. It takes about $ 2.2 billion to make it to the top ten.

Addresses within this prestigious list have often been attracted attention for various reasons, including one believed to belong to Satoshi Nakamoto himself.

The third richest address, with a pristine 94,506 BTC, made headlines in September 2019 after Glassnode reported that 73,000 of the BTC had been transferred into the wallet from Huobi. It was believed to be the richest non-exchange address.

According to BitInfoCharts64 of the top 100 have never conveyed a single satoshi.

These addresses, which currently manage more than 2.5 million BTC (13.5% of the circulating supply) worth nearly $ 85 billion dollars, include 15 dormant addresses. Eleven are over nine years old. While no one can prove that the 300,000 BTC held by these addresses were lost, most assume it.
