Blockchain gaming platform Enjin and Metaverseme, an augmented reality (AR) platform, are set to introduce marketable AR fashion assets in the Ethereum blockchain. The Enjin-powered non-replaceable token (NFT), which can be carried by user avatars in the Metaverseme app, will launch on February 23.

Revolutionary apps and games

According to an statement, the Metaverseme app allows users to quickly take real-world selfies and generate hyper-realistic avatars. AR mode maps the real environment of users where their digital avatars can be brought to life while wearing and interacting with their NFT fashions. Users can then record their avatar with fashionable NFTs in AR and share the videos via social media.

In his comments following this announcement, Martyn Hughes, a founder of Metaverseme, explains the importance and potential of blockchain technology. He says:

It won’t be long before blockchain is recognized as the Internet of value for all immersive experiences. If you can use your resources for all your favorite games and apps, it will revolutionize the digital economy.

New possibilities

Meanwhile, the two entities explain in their statement that “the first NFTs to adopt Metaverseme is a collection called Pluriform, a limited edition of digital-only fashion items created through an ongoing collaboration between Enjin, Atari, Metaverseme and the Fabricant. The Pluriform NFTs are available until February 28 and “all [the] unsold stock is burned at the end of the sale. “

Enjin CEO Maxim Blagov in turn praises the opportunities created by the combination of blockchain and AR. He says:

Soon your likeness will be able to soar across the internet and we are excited to partner with the Metaverseme team to make this happen.

Since joining Enjin, Atari and other game developers have locked more than 10 million Enjin tokens in high-functioning NFTs, including those that can be used in Metaverseme.
