Many people on Twitter see Musk’s tweet and profile change as a huge endorsement for bitcoin. Morgan Creek Digital partner Anthony Pompliano noted:
Elon Musk, one of the richest men in the world and the greatest innovator of our time, has only one word in his Twitter bio: bitcoin… Tesla and Spacex adding bitcoin to their balance is now inevitable.
Tesla CEO overtook Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos as the world’s richest man early this month, but has since fallen back to second place, according to Forbes’ real-time billionaire list. Another billionaire Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has also set his Twitter profile to just #bitcoin.
He also tweeted a lot about dogecoin and recently participated in a doge pump. His Twitter profile read, “Former CEO of Dogecoin.”
