As the dogecoin frenzy continues to make headlines in the crypto sphere, some people aren’t happy with it. Billy Markus, Dogecoin co-founder, has been a target of long-term online harassment, which is still continuing, he claims.

Markus sold all of his doge in 2015

The so-called meme coin, DOGE shot up more than 325% in one day, specifically January 29, 2021. The dynamics were similar, followed by the Gamestop / Wallstreetbets saga. In this case, a Reddit group called Satoshistreetbets was reportedly behind the pump of the recent dogecoin.

Markus, also known in the crypto industry as ‘Shibetoshi Nakamoto’, published some tweets, making it publicly clear that he sold all of his DOGE in 2015 after he was “fired and gone mad about money”. He even pointed out that money was enough to buy a used Honda Civic car.

The Dogecoin co-founder also claimed he left the Dogecoin project seven years ago due to community harassment. However, the Dogecoin co-founder says he is now ‘being harassed again’.

Although “Shibetoshi Nakamoto” gave no additional details about who was behind the harassment against him, nor about the nature around it, said:

I’m not saying this as a sob story either – I’m fine financially – just want to offer some perspective of what it feels like when a crowd asks you to do something for them in a project that you don’t have any involvement have seen others earn many millions of it.

There are no reports of how much Mark’s fortune is today.

Dogecoin Madness will stay alive as the month begins

Dogecoin hit highs of $ 0.045 in early February, but it hovered around that neighborhood briefly. According to markets.Bitcoin.com data, DOGE is trading hands for $ 0.0398, up 40.30% on Monday, with a market cap of $ 5.11 billion.

Twitter has the hashtag #Dogecoinarmy as a trending topic in several countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom. Also, there are still active efforts by dogecoins’ investors within the Reddit community to pump prices while the frenzy continues.

In fact, as news.Bitcoin.com reported last week, a special one Reddit thread talks about holding dogecoin to get the unit price to $ 10.
